What Many Bumps keeps about you, why, and how to get rid of it.

What is stored

  • From Discord: your user id, display name and avatar; the ids of the servers you own (to show your kingdoms) and, in servers the bot is in, whether you are a member (to tell the Unchained from members). The bot never stores your messages' text - a bump keeps the invite link and the time.
  • From the game: invites you posted, ranks, points and skills, battle records, the kingdom you represent, ratings you gave, opt-out and removal choices; a renown ledger (what earned it and when, kept per season); the day of your last signed-in visit (so a visit pays once a day); daily member counts of the servers on the map (for the Rising list).
  • From the worlds site: what you write there - passes, ideas, votes, comments, meeting notes, storyboard panels, images and links you submit - together with your id and name so co-writers see who wrote what.
  • Technical: a signed session cookie after you sign in with Discord (shared across manybumps.com and its subdomains, valid for a limited time), and ordinary server logs kept for a short while for debugging.

What is not

No passwords (Discord signs you in), no email addresses, no payment details, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, nothing sold or handed to data brokers.

Who else sees it

  • Discord - the bot runs on it; invites are reposted into the hubs and connected servers you chose.
  • Cloudflare serves the sites and sees the traffic that any host would.
  • Anthropic - on the worlds site, the text of a canon check, review, meeting or reference summary is sent to Claude to be read. Only what the check needs is sent; it is not used to train models under Anthropic's API terms.

How long

Game records live for the season and are then frozen into History with kingdom names and standings. Ranks and points reset every season. Worlds keep what their writers wrote until they delete it or the world is removed.

Your choices

  • Opt out of the game or remove your server on your realm page; leave a world from its settings, or ask its owner.
  • Ask in the Many Bumps hub server to have your data removed entirely - it is done by hand, usually within a few days.
  • Sign out to drop the session cookie.
